The stability of Parama’s electricity supply is assured by the reconstructed control centre of the electric switchboard
Pardubice, 15 June 2010 –The stability of Parama’s electricity supply is assured by the
reconstructed control centre of the electric switchboard. Today, the key operation of the Pardubice
refinery is more reliable and safer.
An investment of CZK 11 million into the renewal of equipment was necessary in view of its
technical obsolescence. The control centre of the electric switchboard served its function for the
operation of the power station since 1957. It was necessary in order to increase both its
reliability as well as service safety and the quality of operator control. At the same time,
automation was extended to full remote control and monitoring of the substations, including the
task of a modern system standing in for a substation while adhering to the current safety
standards.
The reconstructed control centre of the electric switchboard, the equipment of which forms the
basis for the reliable and safe operation of the entire Pardubice refinery, is not undergoing a
test run. Work has been completed on the substations, with their control system being exchanged.
The realisation of the primary stage of the equipments‘ modernisation also means that Paramo is
ready for any further reconstruction of its supply substations in the electricity plant.
