Jan Černý and Petr Černohorský won cup and wreaths for their third place the Rally Hustopeče in absolute ranking.
The South Moravian Rally Hustopeče is a popular contest among both spectators and drivers where they have to compete on gravel roads much more often than in other races in the Czech Republic. This competition has a completely different character than any other Czech rally. This is also supported by the fact that in Hustopeče drivers have to drive on narrow paths leading through the local vineyards. Finding the right pace for these tricky stages is not easy. Last weekend, MOGUL Racing Team crew Jan Černý - Petr Černohorský finished third with their Ford Fiesta R5 taking bronze cup in the second race already. Yet their bronze from the Rally Hustopeče has a bit of silver tint as the Rally Hustopeče was as a joint competition for both Czech and Slovak rally championships. That means that as for the Czech Championship ranking the MOGUL Racing Team crew actually finished second. The competition bolstered by top-class drivers from our Eastern neighbour was very fine this time. Yet the MOGUL Racing Team braced up and from the very beginning was clearly fighting for the podium. Rally fans have not experienced such tight fight for the podium for a long time - five crews were involved until the very end.
Jan Černý, MOGUL Racing Team driver. "We now have a clear idea with the team about how to work with the car. With my Fiesta R5 I’m more and more confident. We are in good shape before Rally Bohemia. I want to thank all the team members for their work and all our partners headed by MOGUL. "
