The term rostrum in the car racing sport means winners’ podium and it is exactly where the MOGUL Racing Team crew Jan Černý - Petr Černohorský was heading in the third competition in the row starting with their Ford Fiesta R5 in one of the most demanding competitions in the Czech Championship, Rally Bohemia. The home competition in the city centre of Mladá Boleslav was used by the Škoda Motorsport factory team to place all of their stars from the world championship. That’s how three crews with three factory Škoda cars appeared at Rally Bohemia. There were also a number of foreign drivers and all of domestic elite which made the rally the most competitive of all Czech races. The Rally Bohemia special stages are some most challenging in the Czech championship and the competition itself is massively visited by many fans every year.
Right after the start, the crew Jan Černý - Petr Černohorský of the MOGUL Racing Team settled in the third place behind the unbeatable Jan Kopecký and the very fast matador of the Czech rally Václav Pech. However, three - and in the second stage even four - crews were fighting in seconds for the bronze place on the podium. Such battles are the spice of Rally Bohemia. Until the last stage it was not clear who rejoice at the third rank. Jan Černý and Petr Černohorský held the third position till the start of the last stage. Unfortunately, literally a few hundred metres before the finish, the half-axis of their Ford Fiesta R5 ruptured and the crew fell to the sixth place overall. Nevertheless, their performance left a very good impression.
