The base oils from production of the Paramo´s manufacturing centre in Kolín are commodities much sought after on the market.
Pardubice, July 29th, 2011 - In terms of processing oil hydrogenates into the base oils and their sales, the last year was the most successful for Paramo´s manufacturing centre in Kolín in the last decade. The figures of the first half of this year are the promise of even better results.
"For the first six months of 2011, 12,500 tons of the base oils were sold which, compared to the same period of the last year, is an increase of 65%. If the estimations come true we expect the year-on-year movement in processing of the oil hydrogenates higher by 59% and sales of the base oils by 68%," says Petr Nosál, Manager of the Paramo´s Sale of Base oils and Special products Department.
Pardubice refinery, specifically its manufacturing centre in Kolín, processes oil hydrogenates supplied from Unipetrol RPA Litvínov. The technological process is flexible and allows production of different types of the base oils in a wide range of viscosity and with viscosity indexes that conform to current requirements for the formulation of high quality modern lubricants.
The company uses the base oils not only for its own mixing plants in Kolín and Pardubice, where for example the engine oil MOGUL arises from their mixing with additives, but also meets the market needs. Ukraine, Italy, the Balkans, Switzerland and Germany are the countries where Paramo sells the base oils. An integral part of the oil hydrogenates processing is production of gatches and slack waxes that Paramo places on the Central European markets.
